Copy Paper from Recycled Egg Cartons – A 12-inch Paper Machine Development Study

The presented research project describes the development of a copy paper product from recycled egg carton fiber material. included laboratory handsheet and machine-made produced on 12-inch (304 mm) wide Fourdrinier machine which was operated at speed 6.4 ft/min (1.95 m/min).
 final had content 70% 30% northern bleached softwood Kraft as reinforcement material to avoid sheet breaks machine. appeared be visibly brighter eye with addition pulp compared without fibers. Printing tests using an office type laser printer showed good results.
 basis weight 81 g/m² solids 99.27%. After conditioning temperature 23°C ± 1°C humidity 50% increased 92.13 g/m², caliper 186 μm. tensile index tear 93.20 Nm/g 9.78 mN/gm² respectively, opacity measured 96.52%, brightness 37.09%.
